Cyclohexanone CYC CAS 108-94-1 is a colorless flammable liquid,with the smell of acetone, it is slightly soluble in water and soluble in alcohol and ethylether, has an odor reminiscent of peardrop sweets as well as acetone. It is vloatile and its vapor can form explosive mixture with air,the explosion limit is 1.1%-9.4(vol). It is irritant to eyes,nose and throat ,but not corrosive. It is an important synthesis solvent.
Application
Cyclohexanone is an important chemical raw material, it is a main intermediate manufacturing of nylon, caprolactam and adipic acid. Is also the important industrialsolvent, such as used in the paint, especially for those containing nitrocellulose, vinyl chloride polymer and its copolymers or methyl acrylate polymer paint, etc. For organophosphorus pesticide and many excellent solvent, such as pesticide analogues used as a solvent, dye as solvent type piston aviation lubricating oil viscosity, fat and wax and rubber solvent. Also used for dyeing and flatting silk homogenizing agent, the polished metal degreasing agent.
