2.Dichloromethane is a colorless liquid used as a reaction medium in the pharmaceutical industry to prepare ampicillin, hydroxybenzylpenicillin, and cephalosporin; It is also used as solvent in film production, petroleum dewaxing solvent, aerosol propellant, organic synthetic extractant, foaming agent for polyurethane and other foam plastics production and metal cleaning agent.
